Associated adjustments to existing street lighting provision The junction and intersecting roads are heavily trafficked and subject to restricted working hours for activities affecting the carriageways. In recognition of this, night time and weekend working are permitted for construction of the Works.
Some traffic signal equipment specified within the Works Information will be prepared by specialist subcontractors and is expected to be subject to fabrication and delivery periods. It is important that the Principal Contractor is aware of these timescales and takes appropriate measures to ensure that the works are planned so that Completion is achieved within the specified timescale.
The Works are expected to be completed on site by the end of November 2016, in advance of the Christmas restrictions placed on highway works in and around Liverpool City Centre during December. If, for whatever reason, the Works cannot be completed before the start of December, the Contractor will be expected to suspend work during December.
This will include implementing appropriate temporary measures to ensure that the highway and signalised junctions are fully operational throughout December. The ITT Submissions can be retracted and re-submitted any time before the closing date and time.
Late ITT Submissions will not be considered and the Council cannot accept responsibility for transmission delays. NEC3 Option B Priced Contract with Bill of Quantities
