Overview

Homes England and Birmingham City Council (joint employers) are intending to carry out asbestos removal, demolition and site clearance works at the site of the former City North Campus, Perry Barr and are seeking to appoint a contractor to carry out the works. The works include the removal and disposal of asbestos containing materials and hazardous wastes, demolition of buildings and ancillary structures, removal of slabs, footings and foundations and clearance of the remaining site.

Additional details

Tenders and all supporting documents must be priced in GBP and all payments under the contract will be made in GBP. Contractors must be licensed by the HSE and also be members of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA).

In addition to ARCA we also recognise ACAD (Asbestos Control & Abatement Division). This procurement and award is subject to the transparency arrangements being adopted by the UK Government.

These arrangements include the publication of tender documentation issued by Hones England and the contract between Homes England and supplier. Bidders should highlight any areas they consider commercially sensitive in order for Homes England to be able to honour our transparency obligations without undermining the bidders commercial interests.

Candidates are advised that Homes England is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 ("The Act").
