Overview
NHS England's plan to double access to IPS for people with severe and enduring mental illness by 20/21 presents the opportunity for a delivery partner to co-ordinate a response to the key implementation challenges and opportunities presented by the expansion. Initially this project would be for 1 year to support the expansion with the potential to extend to support years 2 and 3.
We envisage the supplier's role to be: a. Ensuring hands-on implementation support from a network of IPS consultants, in line with all successful implementation practice of IPS in other countries such as the US, Australia, and New Zealand; b.
Producing a workforce development programme to support recruitment and training of IPS staff; c. Ensuring central resources for commissioners, IPS providers, and clinical teams are in place; d.
