Gosport Concession Opportunities 2025

Gosport Borough Council (the licensor) are conducting this procurement opportunity to allow for additional concessions within the Borough. In relation to this requirement, a concession is defined as a fixed term consent to trade from Council owned land, where no Council building exists for exclusive use.

The Council has a concessions policy which was updated in January 2023 and which will apply to all concessions granted for operation along the seafront and in the parks, gardens and open spaces owned by Gosport Borough Council. The policy provides guidance on how interested parties can apply for a licence, the process for evaluation and the terms of the licence agreement.

The policy also highlights a number of potential locations within the Borough that may be suitable for specific trading concession opportunities. The policy assists the Council in supporting local businesses and enterprises to gain a platform to start, grow and succeed.

The Council have created opportunities for annual trading licences for the period commencing July 2025. Lot 1 is for a larger bar facility (i.e. the sale of alcohol and other drinks) at the People's Park, Gosport Waterfront.

Lot 2 relates to three smaller, self-contained food and drink concessions at the People's Park, Gosport Waterfront. A food and beverage concession at the entrance to the Gosport Ferry, located on Gosport waterfront and with stunning views over Portsmouth Harbour

A food and beverage concession at Apple Dumpling Bridge. Set to the east of Alver Valley Country Park, this location has many visitors during the summer months, with dog walkers and families visiting the area.

A food and beverage concession at Alver Valley East Car Park. Set to the east of Alver Valley Country Park, this location has many visitors during the summer months, with dog walkers and families visiting the area.

A food and beverage concession at Gilkicker car park, Stokes Bay. This is a very popular beachside location during the summer months, with nearby facilities including Stokes Bay Sailing Club, Pebbles Café, Gosport Lifeboat Station and Stoked Watersports sports equipment rental.
