Overview
The service has been titled 15-DSR-Global Company Information-1224-PIN and the aim is to obtain a commercially available database in bulk holding details of company registrations and accounts from jurisdictions around the world. The data is being acquired in order to improve tax compliance with specific reference to offshore evasion.
The intention is to be able to identify offshore companies and those individuals associated with the companies. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to alert the market to HMRC interest in these services and to conduct a Request for Information (RFI).
The purpose of the RFI is to allow HMRC to gauge the potential options to deliver this Service. HMRC will review and consider all responses but cannot guarantee any new commercial arrangements based on the responses.
