To bring the Student Residential Accommodation Network in line with other accommodation providers the tenderer is required to provide a solution with a baseline LAN connection of a minimum 100Mb synchronous with a 'broadband roadmap' for the standard package which commits to an increase in speed throughout each year of the contract.
Student residences vary in location, age, size and design. The contract will be for a period of 5 years - 1st September 2020 - 31st August 2025.
The solution proposed must include pervasive Wi-Fi and should include social areas in each of the buildings. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
