Overview
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service operates a fleet of emergency response and support vehicles across Cornwall. To support operational readiness and compliance with statutory fire safety requirements, portable fire extinguishers are installed within operational appliances, specialist vehicles and support vehicles.
Total number is circa 250 units. CFRS requires: • A planned maintenance arrangement to ensure all vehicle-mounted fire extinguishers remain serviceable, safe to use and compliant with current legislation and British Standards. • A recommissioning service for used extinguishers which will be returned to our Tolvaddon Workshop. The contract will be let and managed in accordance with Cornwall Council's Standard Terms and Conditions for the Supply of Goods and Services.
