Overview
The EHRC (jointly with the SHRC in Scotland) is commissioning two projects that will result in the production of disability civil society reports that will be sent to the UN CRPD Committee - one from civil society organisations in England and Wales, with distinct chapters on each country, and one from Scotland. In addition, the projects will result in the production of an overarching Great Britain (GB) summary paper, highlighting the key priorities for civil society across all three countries.
Both projects aim to encourage disabled people to participate in the CRPD monitoring process and to share their experiences with the CRPD Committee. However, we welcome proposals for alternative approaches that meet the project(s) aims.
We welcome proposals from potential contractors for one or both of these projects, and we also encourage proposals that adopt a partnership approach from organisations in one, two or three countries. Please note: if separate contractors secure each lot, they will be required to work together to produce an overarching GB summary report.
