Overview
Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking to establish a provider list, using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), of organisations able to provide Supported Accommodation for young people, aged 16 and over, who need greater support, than available in Council's other supported accommodation services. This provider list will enable the Council to procure appropriate care and support services offering accommodation, which promote independence and help young people move into main stream supported accommodation or on to their own tenancies.
The Council intends to secure placements for service users in the most appropriate location, which is generally expected to be within 25 miles of the centre of the Commissioning Authorities location. Where the individual requirements can be met by more satisfactorily by homes beyond this area, placements further afield will be considered.
The provider list will also be open to be used by other Commissioning Authorities in the East midlands region. Commissioning Authorities listed in this document have agreed to be specifically named.
