Overview

London Borough of Croydon, Community Equipment Services is establishing a new Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the procurement of 5 new categories to purchase equipment for the Integrated Procurement Hub (IPH). These categories are: Beds & Associated Equipment, this is to support the Council’s strategy of opening up the market to ensure availability of compliant and standardised equipment to our partners and end users.Dynamic Purchases for Croydon Community Equipment Services on behalf of other boroughs and the NHS.

It is intended that this opportunity is open to our existing suppliers, as well as new suppliers. The DPS provides an opportunity to deliver equipment that meets the specifications published and at competitive prices, while developing a wider market to capture new innovations and products, whilst opportunity is open to new entrants into the market since the last procurement exercise.

The DPS structure is intended to provide clarity on the categorisation of products and provide ease of ordering process to our partners while the tendering process bring the purchasing operations into compliance with the PCR 2015. The Council will hold a Supplier Day to discuss needs with all suppliers interested in participating in the competition, date and time will be communicated to you shortly, however, it is worth noting that the tender documents will be published via the Pro Contract and all parties are advised to register on the Pro Contract system using the link: www.londontenders.org Croydon Council uses Electronic Tendering for all of its procurement requirements, registration on the portal is totally free to suppliers.

Additional details

Once registration is completed, suppliers will be able to take part in tender activities with Croydon Council (and other London boroughs that utilise the portal), receive email alerts when an opportunity arises in categories of interest, and express interest in opportunities electronically. The sending and receiving of documentation, questions & answers and all communication will be done electronically via the system.

All aspects of the tendering process will only be available via www.londontenders.org (navigate to the supplier section). Suppliers not registered on the e-tendering portal will not be able to participate in this opportunity. Please note that this is a different system used from previous dynamic purchasing systems hosted by Croydon Council's Community Equipment Service.
