Overview
As part of the Government's Serious Violence Strategy, the Home Office is seeking to fund a project that can deliver evidence-based prevention & intervention in schools and alternative provision (AP) institutions including Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) in England. The project could involve: a pilot of an approach; an extension of, or innovation building on, an existing intervention programme; a robust evaluation of one or more existing interventions; or a combination of these.
The purpose for funding this approach to interventions is to build the evidence base around equipping young people with the specific skills, resilience and resources needed to critically address risky behaviour and develop a core set of values that enable them to make the right decisions to avoid drug misuse. This grant funding will be made available through an open competition.
Bidders should note that a Home Office condition of any grant funding will be that recipients are not permitted to charge, apply fees to or require payment for any activity provided in connection with this funded programme or otherwise use the grant to undertake or engage in activities that result in commercial gain or profit. Please be aware that you may only bid once, be that can be as either a single entity or lead (or part thereof) a partnership/consortium.
Eligibility & compliance
All bids must be for the full five (5) month period, and bidders must be able to demonstrate their ability to spend their entire potential award by 31 March 2019.

The competition may conclude in the Home Office awarding grant funding to more than one projects but the limit an organisation can bid for is £100,000, but we expect all bids to be scalable to take into account the wider needs of the Programme to ensure diversity of funding.
