Domiciliary Dental Services for Lot 1 Derbyshire and Lot 2 Nottinghamshire (excluding Bassetlaw)

NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU) on behalf of NHS England and NHS Improvement - Midlands (referred to as the Commissioner) is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver services for Domiciliary Dental Services across Lot 1 Derbyshire and Lot 2 Nottinghamshire (excluding Bassetlaw). The current Contracts are due to end on 31st March 2020.

The new Contracts are expected to commence on 1st April 2020 for a period of 3 years with an option to extend to a further 1 year (total contract duration 4 years). Bidders are to note, the deadline for ITT submissions is 10:00am on Friday 15th November 2019.

Domiciliary dental services are concerned with providing and enabling the improvement of oral health of individuals and groups in society who have a physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, or medical factor that limits their ability to access oral health care services appropriate to their needs. The services will provide a domiciliary dental service to Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (excluding Bassetlaw) residents to patients both in care homes and those confined to their own homes and will cover: - a full clinical examination; - an oral health risk assessment and appropriate treatment; - preventive care to patients with long term and/or progressive medical conditions, mental illness or dementia, causing disorientation and confusion in unfamiliar environments; - patients with increasing frailty who are unable to travel to a dental surgery and who could not otherwise access dental care.

Additional information: The Contracting Authority will be using an eTendering system in this procurement exercise. The services described within this notice relate to the Light Touch Regime in the Public Procurement Regulations 2015.
