Overview
The service will provide a digital platform for recording Building Safety inspections carried out by Building Safety Officers (BSOs), ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Building Safety Act. The platform will digitally record all site visits undertaken by BSOs and generate inspection reports that highlight any identified risks or missing building information.
Colleagues responsible for managing supported sites will also have access to the platform to complete inspections that fall outside the BSOs' responsibilities, providing full organisational oversight of all properties within the system. The solution removes the need for manual documentation and paper based records, reducing the risk of lost information and the additional resource required to manage physical records.
Inspection activity and outputs will be monitored by the Fire Safety Team and used for reporting into Governance. The service requires logbook access for 959 sites, unlimited user access, and technical support covering the full current estate.
