Overview
DESCRIPTION DFE IT Group has embarked upon a Modernisation Programme, “Technology Fit for the Future”. The aim of the Programme is to transform the IT offering within the Department over the next 18 months, from a static infrastructure model, to a cloud-based, modern and efficient environment that will fully meet the Department’s current and future needs by being flexible, cost effective and secure.
The programme will: • Deliver a new Cloud hosting solution prior to a planned change of head office location. • Deploy new tools and devices to enhance productivity and flexibility of the DfE workforce. • Migrate and modernise line of business applications, to improve efficiency and to reduce costs. • Enable the DfE to embrace the new ways of working provided by new functionality. OBJECT OF THE EVENT We would like to invite interested suppliers to join us to take part in a Supplier Day.
The supplier day is an open house event. We will provide you with further information about our current proposals; the business drivers and our approach to procurement.
