Overview
Torbay Council is embarking on an exciting programme to develop new children's residential homes within Torbay. We are seeking to work alongside experienced Ofsted-registered Children’s home providers to develop new local residential provision that enables children and young people to remain closer to their families, communities and support networks.
We recognise the significant expertise, experience and innovation that residential care providers bring and we are keen to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with organisations that share our ambition to create high-quality homes where children feel safe, supported, valued and able to thrive. The two homes will provide for 2 placements each, contributing to a total of 4 beds.
For this Lot, Torbay Council is seeking one provider to deliver both properties. The provider will already have experience of running Ofsted Registered residential care services and will work collaboratively with Torbay Council’s Children’s Services and other relevant officers to identify suitable properties, assist with any decisions regarding redevelopment, refurbishment, or design of the homes and subsequently register and operate the purchased Children’s Homes.
