Additional details
The Council may allow the Contractor to undertake minor repairs at the Operating Address, if agreed in advance with the Authorised Officer, and provided that the Contractor complies fully with the Contractor’s and the Council’s risk assessments and safe working procedures. The contract hire Service will include Full Vehicle Maintenance as set out in the procurement documents.

For the avoidance of doubt, Lot 2 is for Maintenance Services WITHOUT incorporating the supply of the waste collection vehicles. The Authority’s intention is either to undertake a separate procurement process for the supply only of the waste collection vehicles to the same vehicle specification on an outright purchase or to source the vehicles on an outright purchase via a Framework Agreement direct call or a mini competition.
Both will be alternatives to Contract Hire with Maintenance and it is the Authority’s intention to use the alternative processes set out above to identify the most economically advantageous funding option incorporating the maintenance considerations.
