Overview
Sport England as the contracting authority is inviting tenders for service providers to sit on a framework contract to support its work on the Sport England Community Asset Fund and building capability and capacity in the CVSE Sector (the Services). Sport England is seeking through this tendering process to set up a supply framework with suitably capable Contractors to provide these Services for an initial term of 24 months with a unilateral option of Sport England to extend for further periods up to a maximum of 12 months.
Should the option to extend the services be enforced, Sport England will provide no later than 30 days' written notice to the service providers. The scope of works required are varied but can best be described as building capability and capacity in the CVSE sector in support of community groups seeking to take on a physical asset from which to deliver opportunities to be more physically active.
This could be an existing sports club who wish to take on a facility to offer more opportunities to play sport through to supporting a community group to take on a non-sports building as a community asset transfer. The services required will range from early stage support of a group to assist them to create an organisation, through building their capability and capacity to develop and submit a business plan in support of taking on a facility or securing funding to do so.
