Overview
Up to 160 new homes will be constructed across a range of council owned sites including vacant buildings, cleared land and parking / garages. Sites are mostly located in the HRA with several general fund sites which would need appropriation prior to delivery.
Newly constructed homes will remain in the council's ownership as part of the HRA stock. To deliver the first phase of these new homes, the council is seeking a single development partner to provide the necessary multi-disciplinary expertise and resourcing.
A separate committee report details the council's intention to appoint Countryside Properties as the Development Management Team ("DMT") as a variation to the wider CRE appointment. This is possible because the first small site homes are needed to provide decant accommodation which will enable the CRE project. A Client Design Advisor is sought to facilitate the required delivery
