Overview
Paisley Museum will reopen in late 2026 following a period of refurbishment. The reimagined spaces will bring a world class visitor attraction and cultural venue to Paisley.
The aim of Paisley Museum Re-Imagined (PMR) is to provide a visitor experience of international quality; the signature project of Paisley’s regeneration which tells the inspirational stories of Paisley, its heritage and its pattern. Renfrewshire Leisure (hereafter referred to as “OneRen” or “the Client” is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Operator to deliver the following services: PMR café operation Events catering (private, corporate and internal events)
The café and events catering service are integral to the visitor experience, which should be seamless throughout the buildings. Client ambitions for the catering offers are: A café that connects with PMR vision and values A café that connects with PMR exhibits and assets and aligns with programming; and Café and events catering services that make best use of facilities and infrastructure.
Additional details
A minimum specification is provided within the tender documents, however the Client wishes to receive creative proposals for the café, to best meet the needs of visitors including new markets and local communities. The Operator is encouraged to maximise café and events catering opportunities in partnership with the Client to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all visitors and other users of the space. Additional information: Scotland Excel is acting on behalf of OneRen in the execution of this tender but will not be party to the contract or the management of the contract throughout its lifetime.
