Overview
Herefordshire Council will be running Market Engagement events for all businesses interested in delivering home care services, called Care In Your Home (CIYH) Partnership.Herefordshire Council has a statutory duty, under the Care Act 2014, to provide home care services for residents with assessed eligible needs, in order to enable them to remain safe and independent in their own homes for longer, reducing or delaying the need for more formal health and social care services. This engagement follows on from our provider sessions in June, July and August, as we continue to develop the CIYH model. The two engagement sessions will be hosted by Hilary Hall (Corporate Director Community Wellbeing) and Jeanette Young (Service Director All Age Commissioning). The sessions will be your opportunity to further discuss the CIYH Partnership and: • Hear how your feedback has continued to help shape the proposed CIYH model • Understand the final direction of travel • Review the next steps and procurement timeline • Raise any additional questions before the tender is published.Dates of the engagement:In person Venue: Hereford Town Hall, 10 St Owen Street, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR1 2PJ.

How to Read This Tender
- 1The notice is an invitation, not the tender itself – treat it as a chance to gather information before the formal bid opens.
- 2Note the registration deadline and the need to confirm your preferred session; late registrations will be rejected.
- 3Pay attention to the limit of two attendees per provider – plan who will attend to maximise your business’s representation.
- 4The event will outline the procurement timeline; record dates for the actual tender release and submission deadlines.
- 5Look out for any mention of evaluation criteria (e.g., quality, cost, social value) that may be discussed during the session.
Tips for Small Businesses
- Use the event to ask how small providers can demonstrate value – many councils award points for local employment or community links.
- If you cannot send two people, consider partnering with another small firm to share attendance and broaden your insight.
- Take detailed notes and request any supporting documents mentioned; these will help you tailor a competitive bid when it is published.
