Overview
North Yorkshire Council offers eligible employees the opportunity to receive a seasonal influenza vaccination through a programme of pop-up clinics delivered at Council premises across North Yorkshire. The staff flu vaccination programme forms part of the Council's Seasonal Health Strategy and supports the health, wellbeing and resilience of the workforce during the winter period. The objectives of the Service are to: • Increase access to seasonal influenza vaccination for eligible employees identified by the Council. • Increase uptake of the influenza vaccine amongst eligible employees. • Promote awareness and understanding of the seasonal influenza vaccination programme. • Support the reduction of influenza transmission and infection, particularly amongst frontline staff and those working with vulnerable individuals. • Deliver a user-friendly, non-judgemental, person-centred and confidential vaccination service from Council premises located across North Yorkshire. • Supply, administer and record influenza vaccinations in accordance with all applicable legislation, clinical standards, professional requirements and data protection obligations. • Provide management information and performance data as required by the Council.
