Overview
The Authority is seeking to appoint a provider for the transportation of deceased persons on behalf of the Senior Coroner for Hull and the East Riding. The service will include the respectful and timely removal and transportation of deceased persons within the Hull and East Yorkshire boundaries to include transportation from hospitals, care setting and private addresses to a designated mortuary or authorised facilities as required by the Coroner.
The contract will be for an initial period of three years with the option to extend for up to two further years. The estimated total contract value including extensions is approximately £350,000.
Eligibility & compliance
The contract start date is estimated to be on/around the 1st August 2026 and initially run until the 31st July 2029 The provider will be required to operate on a 24-hour, 7-day basis and comply with all relevant legislation, health and safety requirements, safeguarding obligations and professional standards applicable to the service.
